NOVI Conference 2023

"To provide direction for the spatial planning of the Netherlands, we need each other. That's why more than 500 people gathered at the NOVI Conference 2023. Inspiration, interaction, and networking took center stage during a dynamic and diverse program.

To make tangible what everyone is committed to, the NOVI Conference was opened by the mayor of Madurodam: Mees (17). As a young leader, he symbolizes future generations and asked many questions: Where can I live in the future? Can your children still become farmers? What space is needed for a sustainable economy?

With Mees' message in mind, the conference then addressed the biggest challenges affecting the spatial planning of our country: clean water, a healthy soil, sustainable agriculture, nature conservation, and housing development were all discussed. These are topics where decisions we make today will have an impact for the next 20, 50, or even 100 years, and they were addressed by Minister Hugo de Jonge and dozens of other experts during two plenary sessions and 20 workshops."
