EuroScience Open Forum: opening and closing ceremony

The 10th edition of the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) took place in Leiden, centred around the theme “Crossing Borders, Engaged Science, Resilient Societies.” XSAGA was commissioned to create and deliver both the opening and closing ceremonies, ensuring that the programme reflected the central theme while engaging all national and international stakeholders involved.

The title European City of Science is awarded every two years by EuroScience to a European city. In 2022, the honour was bestowed upon Leiden. The title is closely connected to Europe’s largest multidisciplinary science conference: the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF).
