LoveLife Run Amsterdam

Fight cancer foundation

Organize the first edition of the Love Life Run in Amsterdam, providing (former) cancer patients with professional guidance towards their participation, and with which funds are raised for groundbreaking cancer research.

LoveLife Run is a unique event by the Fight Cancer Foundation, in which (ex)cancer patients run 5 kilometres together with their practitioners (nurses, doctors), family and friends to raise money for groundbreaking cancer research. The main aim of the run is to support these (ex)cancer patients throughout the run to regain confidence in their bodies after and during the challenging period of illness and treatment. Therefore, a 12-week training programme was offered to them so that they could optimally prepare themselves under the guidance of 3 trainers from the Cancer Care Centre and FTSA (trainers with an oncology background).

To facilitate this new run alongside this, a collaboration was sought with the renowned Yet Zuidas Run. They decided to make a starting area available, allowing a connection to be made not only in terms of content but also production-wise.

All this resulted in a very impressive first edition, with more than 170 participants including 35 (ex)cancer patients. Together they raised €81,450, but it was above all the symbolic power of their participation and perseverance that made a big impression.

"We are extremely happy to have teamed up with XSAGA to bring the beautiful LoveLife Run concept to Amsterdam. It definitely would not have been such a splendid success without the tireless and flexible efforts of this great team, for which we are very grateful!"
